Happy belated New Year to any of you who still come around here.
I have completely fallen off the wagon here but I’ll tell you what’s been going on.
I am happy to report that we are now the proud owners of a brand new home! All our own and completely beautiful! Couldn’t be more excited and couldn’t be more surrounded by boxes waiting to be unpacked. The studio is slowly starting to take shape and I’m trying to muster the energy to keep unpacking and arranging it. And there is another little surprise…
The first couple of months of this pregnancy have been quite difficult. I’ve felt exhausted and nauseous all day every day, hence my disappearance off the face of the internet. Struggling to get up in the morning, all I’ve had the energy to do, and not much energy at that, is to take care of my almost 3 year-old son, Jack.
So, there’s been lots going on with packing and the move and the pregnancy and it’s certainly affected my printing schedule. I was planning a fantastic calendar for this year. I even gave you a small peak last time I was able to sign on because I had been planning it since July of 2012. Then Hurricane Sandy hit us and that left us without power for about 2 weeks then we found out I was about a month along and when all the nausea started to hit pretty hard. Then we had to start packing up and then came the move. A series of events that simply prevented me from doing just about anything! I’m happy to say however, that I’m feeling much better now and while it was a hard decision to make, I’ve decided to save the calendar design for next year. I will be working on it diligently (not to mention slowly) this year so that it’s ready to go later in the year.
There are also a lot of exciting things going on at HP already, some of which I can’t mention just yet even though I’m bursting to tell you about it. So when that happy moment comes, you’ll be the first to know about all these exciting things!
I’m hoping to be able to get on here with a little more frequency as I am trying to take it a little easier, however, this little baby seems to be putting me through the ringer in ways I hadn’t imagined. My first pregnancy was nothing like this, it was a breeze, so this is all a surprise and I’m trying to deal with it as best as I can, happy of course that the little one is coming along and we’ll soon get to see him/her.
So that’s all for now. I am alive, I am well (sort of 🙂 and Honizukle Press is still chugging along with new things in the horizon!
Thanks for still stopping by and I can’t wait to start sharing all the exciting things going on around here with you!
